what we do
We train and resource workers across the children and young people’s sector. We have developed an approach to support those who work with children and young people, based on our own experience and practice in informal education contexts that is founded on affirmative values and the power of innovation. As such it can be evaluative or hands on; strategic or frontline; practical or theoretical. Some values are central to all our interventions, being evidence-based, participative and innovative.
unique in our approach
Our extensive experience, covering management, training, and practical experience at the sharp end of youth work, enables us to get the ‘bigger picture’, understanding things from the various perspectives within an organisation. Whilst we value and draw upon existing knowledge and experience, we aim to do what is necessary and what is best for the organisation – managers, workers and service users – not what has always been done. In so doing we can adopt any of a number of innovative strategies to respond to the situation, from reflective learning processes for workers to imaginative educational games of all shapes and sizes for service users and workers alike.
how this helps you and your organisation
We have a track record in delivering our unique services to youth work organisations across all sectors. We pride ourselves on using and developing simple, straightforward techniques and tools that can be replicated in different settings. As providers of training and learning resources, we:
